I have taken a huge variety of classes ranging from knitting and glass blowing to ice sculpting for enjoyment and I have always maintained some sort of art practice for the pleasure of being creative. At University I took some industrial design classes and I have always enjoyed beautiful things as I had grown up around a family business where I was introduced to lovely household items, furniture and interior decorating. In 2010 my obsession with repurposed postage stamps exploded and any spare time available was dedicated to exploring and collaging with them. My observations about how technology has changed the way people communicate and the global experiences expressed by postage stamps lasted ten years and some eighty pieces. With a significant change in my life and work balance, I decided to focus my creative passion on learning all I could about visual art. For the last five years I have focused my learning on painting, collage and art history. I am currently one year into exploring all things ceramic. I continue to take classes in the hopes of developing, evolving and challenging my art practice.
